The Alliance CALLS CCMEP™ Exam Prep Course is designed to help you prepare for the CCMEP™ Exam. We want to take a few minutes to share some background information on this important exam and the CCMEP™ designation. The National Commission for Certification of CME Professionals (the NC-CME) was founded in 2006 for the purpose of creating a CME professional certification program. The NC-CME continues its work today to maintain the CCMEP™ certification program and exam. When developing the CCMEP™ exam, the NC-CME took steps to ensure that it reflected the work that CME professionals do. The CCMEP™ exam is partly based on the knowledge and skill set articulated in the Alliance’s Competencies for CME Professionals.
In addition, the NC-CME conducted a job analysis survey to identify the most relevant knowledge and skill items for CME professionals. From this process, the NC-CME developed the content for its examination blueprint – a document which outlines the topical areas covered on the exam. There are five domains on the CCMEP™ Exam Blueprint, which are:
Adult & Organizational learning
Relationships with Stakeholders
Leadership/Administration & Management
Knowledge of the CME Environment
The overall goal of the Alliance’s CCMEP™ Exam Prep Course is to help learners prepare for the exam. However, this preparation isn’t just based on content. Preparing you for the exam also includes helping you increase your self-efficacy as related to exam performance.
